  • Intelligent Transportation Systems

    In support of improved access to training related to the management of Intelligent Transportation Systems, completed an analysis of all existing training which included recommendations concerning those courses which could be delivered via web-based training and those which also required Instructor-Led Training (ILT) in the classroom. Designed computer-based training for the approved list of courses as well as the process for implementation on the organization’s Learning Management System (LMS).

  • Virtual Maintenance Trainers for Aircraft

    Due to the high demand for private aircraft which limits their availability for training and orientation, customers needed a computer-assisted training system to help instructors present information in a classroom environment. The STS team was tasked with preparing an analysis of the requirements, designing an appropriate lesson development and presentation system, and then developing the overall application. Simultaneous with the development of the application, the STS team was tasked with producing 3D models of the entire aircraft (plus associated equipment) and then preparing simulations of all standard maintenance procedures.

  • Boom Lift Simulator

    In order to help aircraft manufacturers reduce the number of incidents related to using a boom lift around aircraft in a hangar environment, the STS team developed a game-based simulator which enabled students to practice all aspects of the preflight and operation of a boom lift.

  • Maintenance Training for the Stealth Reconnaissance Assault Transport System (SRATS)

    The STS team prepared a training analysis, completed onsite data collection, produced the required 3D models, and developed interactive training related to the maintenance of the SRATS vehicle.

  • Interstate Highway Sign Management

    In support of improved management of interstate highway signs, STS produced the following for various state Departments of Transportation (DOT):

    • Databases containing information (type, location, installation date, etc.) related to each state’s interstate highway signs.
    • An application that displayed the data in web-based maps that integrated Google Street View technology.
    • A website that included public access as well as a secure portal restricted to DOT users.

  • Virtual Systems Training for the M1A2 Tank

    In support of training for operators, the STS team developed interactive training for all M1A2 tank systems. This project included a training analysis, onsite data collection for all relevant sections of the tank, the production of 3D models to support required lessons, and the development of individual lessons for each system.

  • Interactive Technical Training Manuals (IETMs) for Buses.

    STS team members completed an analysis of all paper-based operator and maintenance manuals currently in use for a fleet of buses. Based on the results of this analysis, the team developed both Operator and Maintenance ITEMs for the bus system that included fully searchable content, interactive training, and embedded performance support aids.
